FAIRBURY — Several years ago, Kirk Leman started a truck body shop out in the country north of Forrest then decided to venture into the decal business in 2012.

“It kind of went hand in hand with the semis,” Leman told members of the Fairbury Rotary Club at its meeting Tuesday.

Five people work for Leman on the decal side, which is known as Aftershock Decals and Design. The business moved to the former Serendipity Cards and Gifts building in downtown Fairbury last fall.

“We do quite a few things,” Leman said.

Once a business gets rolling, advertising is often a must and that’s where Leman and his staff can help. Aftershock does yard signs, pull-out banners and displays for trade shows along with decals and vehicle wraps. Logo design is where it all starts and Aftershock has been getting more into labels and stickers too.
